SHORT FILM / DRAMA / 11MIN

Loner

This short film by writer/director Wendell Cooke tells the story of Paul, who can’t find anyone to sign his gun licence. Wendell grew up in Greytown and this was to our knowledge the first short film (apart from a 48 hours entry) to be shot there.
The film reflects the local flavour of the production - we filmed in the local butchery, based ourselves and filmed a scene at the generous South Wairarapa Workingmens Club, and partnered with Kuranui College to invite some interns on the crew.
Wendell and Jeremy teamed up again on the short documentary Gina.
